When configuring your policy settings in the Skillcast Policy Hub, you can customise the standard attestation question to fit the specific requirements of your organisation. This allows you to tailor both the wording and the response options your end users will see when attesting to a policy.
Accessing the Attestation Settings
To update your attestation question, go to the Policy Management area within the Management Console.
Select Management Console
Select Policy Management
Select Settings
Select Edit Policy attestation question settings
This will open the panel where you can configure all aspects of the attestation question displayed to end users.
Policy Attestation Question Fields
You can customise each part of the attestation panel to ensure the language aligns with your internal policy standards.
Title: The heading shown to the end user in the attestation panel
Completed on: The label that appears before the date once the user has completed their attestation
Question: The attestation question itself, for example: “Do you attest to this policy?”
Submit: The text displayed on the submit button that becomes available once the user selects an option
Comments: A text field shown when the chosen option requires additional information
Question Options
Each question option lets you define how end users respond. By default, two options are provided, but you can have as few as one or as many as five.
Status: Choose whether the response option is marked as accepted or declined
Response: The text the user sees and what is recorded in their training record
Comments: Used to gather extra information if required
Comments required: When comments are set to On, you can tailor the text prompting the user to provide further information. The user must complete this field to successfully attest
Delete: Removes a question option. New options can be added using the + Add button
Customised Attestation Question Examples
You can configure the attestation question with Digital Signature enabled or disabled. In both scenarios, once your question and options are customised, you are ready to assign the policy to your target audience.
If you wish to enable Digital Signature or find out more about this feature, please contact [email protected].
