This guide will help you, as an event administrator, to promote an event series and allow users to register their interest. This feature is designed to help you identify when and where to plan future event sessions, ensuring your events are relevant and well-attended.
What Does “Register Interest” Mean?
Registering interest allows users to express their intention to attend an event before any sessions are scheduled. This helps you gauge demand and plan sessions in suitable locations and times.
Create a Learning Path for the Event
Go to the Management Console.
Select Events Management from the right-hand side menu.
Click to add a new learning path.
Enter a clear title and code for your learning path.
Save it to the appropriate domain, for example: Domain > Events.
Select Create learning path.
Create the Event Content
Within your learning path, select Content from the right-hand side of the page.
In the Add a new activity menu, select Event.
Fill in the event details:
Once complete, add sessions for your Event, select Manage Event - learn more here.
3. Add an Audience Group
In your learning path menu, select Audience.
Under Audience Groups, begin typing in the Audience group field and choose from the visible list.
Choose your category, usually the location and name of the tile on your home page (e.g. Home Page > Events).
You do not need to add a deadline.
Select Add Audience group to link the event to your chosen audience.
Tips
Use clear, descriptive titles for your learning paths and events to make them easy to find.
Preview your event details before saving to ensure accuracy.
Limitations
Note: Once you create the first event session for the series, the event will move into the All Events tab. Users will no longer be able to register interest in the event series at this stage.
