Properties
Properties - general

Cooling off period (days) |
| The number of days that a learner has to wait for the assessment to automatically unlock so they can retry it.
The lockout period does not include 'today'. |
Properties - feedback

It includes MCQ explanation and ticks and crosses by the options, indicating correct and incorrect options.

Explanations can also be set to display for correctly answered questions only.

Show solution in question-level feedback | Never Always For correct responses | Choose whether the solution - tick and cross icons - displays or not as soon as the user answers the question.
There is also the option of showing the solution for correctly answered questions only.
If the solution should show while taking the assessment, the 'Show immediate feedback' setting must be enabled.

Show question-level feedback on summary screen | Never When passed Always | Shows incorrectly answered questions on the summary screens - Retry, Passed or Failed.

Retain feedback on summary screen |
| When checked, peer-to-peer comparison, leaderboard, objectives, confidence and/or question-level feedback data is saved and available when the user revisits the assessment summary screen.
It needs to be used in conjunction with 'Don't show intro message upon revisiting'. |
Score thresholds |
| Define custom score amounts that trigger custom summary screen messages instead of the default “pass”, “fail”, and “retry” messages.
Enter a desired percentage score value here. When adding more than one, start from the highest number and finish with the lowest, like this: 80,60,50,40
Add custom messages with feedback IDs into the relevant summary screen messages, for example:

Report as Pre-Test (Skillcast LMS only) |
| Adds (pre-assessment) tag to the lesson status. The lesson status will be marked as "passed (pre-assessment)".
Always select for pre-assessment if the module is hosted on Skillcast LMS.
If the module is hosted on both Skillcast and third-party LMS, create two module versions - one for the Skillcast LMS with the setting ticked and another for the third-party LMS with the setting unticked. |
Ignore this assessment if failed |
| If checked, the assessment will be absent from the module report if the user does not Pass. |
Set module to complete if passed |
| If checked, then the module will be marked as complete if the learner passes this assessment.
Otherwise, it will take another condition (such as reaching the last page in the module, for example). |
Score tracking | Points / maximum points Correct responses / number of questions | Choose whether the learner's score will be tracked in terms of the points gained or the number of correctly answered questions in the LMS report.
Please note that the 'Enable points' setting must be ticked for the points option. |
Track objective scores |
| It sets the SCORM objective to the LMS. It is the objective of the SCORM standard and not the in-module objective.
The SCORM objective name depends on the 'SCORM objective name' setting. |
Track each attempt as a SCORM objective |
| If checked, this will write a separate score in your report for each attempt a learner makes at the assessment.

| If checked, the submit button will not appear until the learner has made a selection. |
Show introduction screen
|
| When checked, the first page of the assessment will show an Introduction message with a prompt to begin the assessment.
Otherwise, the first page will be the first question. |
Show summary screen |
| When checked, the last page of the assessment will show a summary screen - Retry, Passed or Failed message - with an overview of the learner's score, and potentially their objective scores and other information.
Otherwise, the learner will leave the assessment after answering the final question. |
Don't show intro message upon revisiting |
| If this is checked, then upon returning to the assessment (whether through reopening the course or navigating back to it), the learner will see the assessment summary screen.
If it isn't checked, then they will see the Introduction message upon returning to the assessment. |
Show introduction message on retry |
| If checked, when the user selects the Retry button on the summary screen, they will be shown the introduction message with the Start assessment button. |
Hide Menu Button |
| If checked, the module menu button will be hidden while the learner is in the assessment.
You may choose this if you want to prevent the learner from navigating away and checking the content for answers. |
Hide Resources Button |
| If checked, the resources button will be hidden while the learner is in the assessment. |
Hide Settings |
| If checked, the settings button will be hidden whilst the learner is in the assessment. |

| This is the first page of the module. Explain here how users can complete the assessment.

| The message that appears on the summary screen when the learner passes the assessment.

Retry message |
| The message that appears on the summary screen when the learner fails the assessment but has more attempts available.
It needs to be used in conjunction with 'Show summary screen'. |
Failed message |
| The message that appears on the summary screen when the learner fails the assessment and has no more attempts available.
It needs to be used in conjunction with 'Show summary screen'. |
Questions solution message |
| The message that appears on the summary screen at the top of the list of questions.
It needs to be used in conjunction with the 'Show summary screen' and 'Show question-level feedback on summary screen' settings, which must NOT be set to Never. |
Question Banks

Question banks used | All question banks 1 - n | Specify the number of Question Banks to be used per session.
Please note that the setting will be affected by the 'Always include" option in the Questions Banks. E.g.: if there are two Question Banks that are set to "Always include", you won't be able to select a number lower than 2 here. |
Question bank sequencing | Random Prescribed | The order in which questions are presented can be either randomised or reflective of the Question Bank order.
The Prescribed option needs to be used in conjunction with 'Group by question bank'. |

| If checked, questions from the same Bank will appear one after the other.
Otherwise, questions from different Banks will follow each other. |

| Appears as the Question Bank name in the Editor (not visible to learners).

| Enter the number of awarded points for a correct answer.

| Upon submitting a response for each question, the learner will be invited to 'bet' points on whether they think they are right or not.
If they are right, then they will be awarded a specific number of points as specified here.
Bets allow you to gauge the confidence of the learners in their answers.

Points for incorrect bet |
| Upon submitting a response for each question, the learner will be invited to 'bet' points on whether they think they are right or not.
If they are wrong, then they will lose a specific number of points specified here.

Track bets using interaction weighting |
