Using attributes to group information with the Dashboard

Updated this week

You can use Dashboard Group attributes to organise information visually on your Dashboard. These attributes help you group users into meaningful categories, making it easier to navigate data quickly.

What are Dashboard Group attributes?

When an attribute is set as a Dashboard Group, it appears as a card on the Dashboard. Common examples include:

  • Location

  • Department

  • Line Manager

  • Any other attribute configured for grouping

Each card represents a value of that attribute, allowing you to view users by category at a glance.

Viewing grouped information

When you select a Dashboard Group attribute such as Department, the Dashboard displays a card for each department. You can then:

  • Select a card to drill down into more detailed information

  • View users and compliance data associated with that group

  • Move between groups quickly using the cards

This makes it easier to explore specific segments without navigating large datasets manually.

Finding people within groups

The Dashboard provides tools to help you locate individuals efficiently:

  • Use the Search bar to find a specific person within the Dashboard view

  • Use the Sort dropdown to arrange cards in your preferred order

  • Choose from the list of values shown on the cards (e.g., all departments or all line managers)

These options help you narrow results to exactly what you need.

Conclusion

Using Dashboard Group attributes gives you a clear and flexible way to explore user information across your organisation.
