E-learning rating and feedback

Updated over 2 months ago

This article explains what the e-learning rating and feedback feature is, how to use it and where to see the results.

You can show rating and feedback screens when the user completes and closes e-learning, including third-party e-learning. You can choose to show it for all e-learning or a select few. This feature is available on Skillcast LMS and the Skillcast remote content packages hosted on third-party LMS.

The ratings and feedback have two screens - one for rating and one for feedback. You can have the rating screen only or both.

Rating screen

Employees can rate the e-learning from 1 to 5 stars. If a user doesn't submit a rating, the rating screen will continue appearing every time they close the unrated complete e-learning.

Rating screen configuration

When using the Rating and feedback feature, the rating screen cannot be hidden.

If you are using the additional feedback screen as well, you can choose when to show it. This depends on the number of stars selected. By default, the feedback screen is shown only when an employee selects less than five stars.

Additional feedback screen

After the employee submits their rating and selects the required number of stars, they will see the additional feedback screen. This screen consists of two features:

  1. Selectable feedback options.

  2. Free text input box.

Additional feedback screen configuration

You can show both feedback options and a text input box or one of the two features. You can also choose to hide the additional feedback screen completely, showing only the rating screen.

NOTE: We recommend using the same or most of the same feedback options for different modules for a clearer feedback summary.

Feedback area in the Dashboard

NOTE: If you are not familiar with the Dashboard, you can find information about it in the "Dashboard" collection in the Skillcast Support Hub. The feedback results are available on the Dashboard only.

The anonymous ratings and feedback summary is located in the Dashboard under the E-learning and Calendar. This also applies to the remote content packages.

Under E-learning, you can see the average rating for each module and the summary of additional feedback. To check the additional feedback, please select the relevant module and the View feedback button.

There, you can find the list of comments and the list of selected feedback options with their frequency and the average rating of instances when that option was selected.

You can access the Calendar via selected e-learning or from the main Dashboard page. In both places, you will find the Feedback graph and a table showing the summary of average ratings for this or previous years.

Go to the Calendar through the Dashboard main screen to see the feedback summary across all modules.

Select View activity on the E-learning card and scroll down to see the results.

NOTE: If you think you have the incorrect permissions, please contact your company admin or Customer success manager at [email protected].
