CPD Start Date Field

This article explains the CPD Start Date attribute, which allows for more accurate and fair tracking of CPD hours for employees.

Updated over a month ago

The CPD Start Date is an attribute that allows you to specify when an employee should start accumulating CPD hours, independent of their original hire date.

In some cases, employees may be inactive for a period of time and then return to the company. When these employees resume their roles, their CPD requirements should be adjusted to reflect their actual start date for CPD tracking, rather than their original hire date.

How to Implement the New CPD Start Date

To make use of this feature, you will need to provide the CPD Start Date either through the data feed or by manually adding it to an individual’s account. Here’s how you can do that:

  1. Providing the CPD Start Date via the Client Data Feed

    • You can include the CPD Start Date in the data you send to the system. This allows for automated updates and ensures that all employees' CPD start dates are recorded accurately based on the data feed.

    • Ensure the CPD Start Date field is included in the data you send to us.

  2. Manually Adding or Updating the CPD Start Date

    • If data feeds are not used, administrators can manually add the CPD Start Date directly in the employee's account. This can be done via the system’s admin interface:

      • Navigate to the employee's profile.

      • Add or update the CPD Start Date in the appropriate field.

      • Save the changes, and the system will use this date to calculate the employee’s CPD requirements.
