Understanding the CPD Start Date Field

Updated over 2 weeks ago

The CPD Start Date allows you to specify when an employee should begin accumulating CPD hours. This is especially helpful when an employee returns after a period of inactivity, ensuring their CPD requirements reflect their actual active start date rather than their original hire date.

How the CPD Start Date Works

When you add a CPD Start Date, the system begins counting the employee's CPD hours from that date through to the end of the CPD year. Any hours completed before that date within the same CPD year will not be included.

How to Add or Update a CPD Start Date

Through User Provisioning/API

If you use a data feed, you can include the CPD Start Date in the file you send.

Steps:

  • Add the CPD Start Date field to your feed.

  • Ensure the date follows the correct format.

Manually in User Management

If you are not using a data feed, you can enter the date directly.

Steps:

  • Go to the employee's profile.

  • Enter or update the CPD Start Date.

  • Save your changes. The system will calculate CPD requirements from this date.

Conclusion

You can now apply CPD Start Dates to ensure accurate CPD tracking for employees returning after an inactive period. If you need support, contact your Customer Success Manager by selecting Send us a message via the help icon on your portal, or by emailing [email protected].
