This guide explains how you can enable and use the Learning Outcomes, Development Needs, and Reflective Statements fields for e-learning activities in your LMS. These fields help you keep track of what you have learned, reflect on your progress, and record key insights from your training.
What these terms mean
Learning Outcomes describe the skills or knowledge you are expected to gain from an e-learning activity.
Development Needs highlight areas where you may benefit from building your understanding further.
The Reflective Statement allows you to capture your personal thoughts, insights, or key takeaways from the activity.
Enabling the Feature
To use these fields in your LMS, you will need to ask your Customer Success Manager (CSM) to activate the following setting:
Record learning outcomes, development need, and reflective statement
Once enabled, you will find the fields in:
My Learning > CPD > E-learning
Working with Pre-Populated Fields
When the feature is active, some fields will already be completed for selected Skillcast modules. These include:
Learning Outcomes and Development Needs: Pre-populated where applicable, helping you understand what the module aims to teach and where further development may be useful.
Reflective Statement: A free-text field where you can record your own reflections, observations, and learning points.
These fields make it easier for you to track your development and maintain a clear record of your learning journey.
Adding or Editing Fields for Other Activities
If you want to add or adjust Learning Outcomes or Development Needs for other e-learning activities, you can do this in the Learning Path activity settings.
Note
If you believe you do not have the correct permissions, please contact your company admin or reach out to your Customer Success Manager at [email protected].
