Introduction

Assigning a course to multiple users allows you to efficiently roll out training to a group rather than adding each user individually. This is useful for onboarding, compliance requirements, or large-scale learning initiatives. You'll need the correct level of admin permissions to complete this process.

Steps to Assign a Course to Multiple Users

Follow these steps to assign a course to multiple users:

  1. Select Manage at the top of the screen.

  2. In the Manage assignments chart section, select Manage assignment.

  3. Locate the relevant module and select Manage assignment.

  4. Select Add assignments.

  5. Choose the relevant users from the list.

  6. Set the Deadline for completing the course.

  7. Select Continue.

  8. (Optional) Enter a personal message to the users.

  9. Select Add assignments.

Any course you assign will appear on the user's Home page under the Mandatory Banner.

Updating Deadlines and Resetting Completed Records

When assigning courses, you'll see the screen shown below:

From here, you can:

  • Set a new deadline date for the course.

  • Update deadlines for existing assignments (apply a new deadline to courses that have already been assigned).

  • Reset completed training records, requiring users who have already completed the course to retake it.

Tips

  • Double-check your selections before confirming assignments to ensure you don't accidentally reassign courses unnecessarily.

  • Use the Update deadline for existing assignments feature with care, as it will affect all assigned users.

Limitations

Note: You must have the correct level of admin permissions to assign courses to multiple users. If you don't see the Manage option, contact your system administrator.

Conclusion

You now know how to assign a course to multiple users, update deadlines, and reset completed records.
