This guide introduces you to Aida, the AI assistant created by Skillcast. Aida is designed to provide your employees with simple, clear answers to compliance questions, always referencing trusted sources and offering hyperlinked citations for further reading.

What Is Aida?

Aida is a purpose-built AI assistant focused on compliance. When employees ask questions about compliance topics, Aida provides precise and relevant answers, always referencing:

  • Your organisation's assigned policies, procedures, and other documents

  • E-learning courses, including Skillcast library content

  • Carefully selected and verified sources, such as the FCA Handbook and EHRC guidance

Aida does not use prior knowledge or general internet information. If a question cannot be answered based on the referenced content, Aida will decline to provide an answer. This ensures that all responses are consistent, accurate, and trustworthy.

How Does Aida Work?

Aida draws only from the resources available to each employee on Skillcast. This includes:

  • All courses, policies, and external resources accessible to the employee

  • Any documents linked to a course

Aida never scrapes the web or uses generic internet content. Its answers are always based on your organisation's own compliance materials and trusted regulatory sources.

Why Use Aida?

Aida is engineered specifically for compliance. It covers topics such as:

  • Anti-money laundering (AML)

  • Bribery and fraud

  • Cybersecurity

  • Harassment

  • Health and safety

This focus ensures that employees receive guidance aligned with regulatory expectations, not generic or loosely related advice.

Tips and Troubleshooting

  • Encourage employees to use Aida for any compliance-related questions.

  • Remind users that Aida will only answer questions based on available, referenced content.

  • If Aida cannot answer a question, check that the relevant policy or resource is available on Skillcast.

Note: Aida will not answer questions outside the scope of your organisation’s referenced content.
