Asking for additional information from the submitter on a compliance register submission

Updated this week

As an approver, you may sometimes need more details before making a final decision on a compliance register submission. The portal allows you to request additional information so that you can fully review the submission before approving or declining it.

When a submission requires approval, you will receive an email notification letting you know that an item is waiting for your attention.

Accessing your approvals

  1. Log into your portal.

  2. Navigate to the relevant Register page or category.

  3. Select the My Approval tab.

This page displays all submissions awaiting your review, along with their current status.

Reviewing the submission

Click on the submission you want to review. You will see the full details and three available actions:

  • Approve

  • Decline

  • Ask for additional information

If you require more details, select Ask for additional information.

Requesting additional information

Enter your message in the comment box. This should explain what information you need from the submitter to progress the review.

Select Ask to send the request.

Your comment, along with the date and time stamp, will be added to the audit log. The submitter will receive an email notification and an in-portal alert so they know that more information is required.

Next steps

Once the submitter responds, their reply will appear within the submission record, and you can continue the approval process.

For guidance on how submitters respond to these requests, refer to Responding to a request for additional information on my submission.
