Download a policy version report

Building and maintaining your policy library is an important part of the Skillcast Policy Hub. As policies evolve, keeping track of previous versions helps you understand what changed, when it changed, and who approved it. The system also allows you to download a report in Excel format that shows the version history for one or more policies. This report gives you a clear overview of each version's details, helping you manage policy governance more effectively.

Downloading a Version Report

You can download a policy version report directly from the Policy Management area.

  • Select Management Console and then Policy Management

  • Use the search fields to locate a policy or multiple policies by selecting Search and returning results

  • At the bottom of the results, select the Policy Version button. This will download an Excel file containing the full version history for the policies you selected

The downloaded report includes details for each individual version, such as release notes, approvers, and the date each version was added.

Tips

  • Ensure you run a search first, as the version report button appears only after results are displayed

  • If you are downloading multiple policies, the report will group the version details clearly within the spreadsheet

  • Check the Release Notes column within the report to quickly understand what changed in each version

Limitations

  • The downloaded report reflects only the data available for each policy version and cannot be customised within the system before export

  • Reports may vary in length depending on how many versions exist for each policy
