Recovering deleted items

Updated over 2 weeks ago

This article explains how to restore elements or pages that were deleted from a module. You can recover full elements, but this feature cannot be used to restore individual words or phrases removed from within an element.

You must have Edit content permission to access the Content editor.

How to restore deleted content

You can retrieve previously deleted elements through the Module properties.

  • Open the module you are working on and go to Deleted elements in the Module properties

  • Look through the list to find the element you want to recover. Each item will show who deleted it, along with the date, time, and type of element

  • Remember that if a whole page was deleted, it appears as multiple separate elements, so each one must be reinstated individually

  • Select Reinstate content to open a preview of the deleted item

  • If the preview shows the correct element, select Add to restore it

  • The element will return to its original position. If you added new content afterward, you may need to scroll through the page to locate it and reposition it where needed
