Editing a live module

Updated over 10 months ago

You should not edit a live module - one that already has an audience. Please make sure you are happy with the course before it goes live.

To prevent issues with user experience, bookmarking and reporting, we've implemented two warnings in the key areas so anyone trying to change a live module knows the implications.

If you must edit a live module, only make simple amendments to the text. Do not:

  • Change the order of pages or elements

  • Add or remove elements (including pages, scrolling sections and assessments)

  • Change any assessment settings

  • Remove any assessment questions

  • Change which option is correct in any assessment questions

  • Change the meaning of any assessment questions or options

If your module is live, you will see a warning reminding you of the above when you navigate to the Edit content screen.

Select the "I understand" button to proceed with editing content. The warning will remain on the screen.

You must republish your module to make the changes visible to the employees. Please see the article What do I do when I finish creating or editing my module?

When republishing a live module, you will see another warning, such as in the screenshot below.

NOTE: If you think you have the incorrect permissions, please contact your company admin or Customer success manager at [email protected].
