What do I do when I finish creating or editing my module?

Updated over 3 months ago

This article explains what you should do when you have finished creating or editing your module.

Perform a final test

Once you have the final version of the module, it is important to test it at least once via the View as learner link using the Start new attempt button. You can read more about this functionality in an article called View as learner.

Check that everything looks and behaves as expected and that you can reach the end of the module. Also, remember to read through the content to ensure there are no mistakes and that everything looks the way it should.

Publish the module and inform your Customer success manager

When your testing is complete, you need to publish the module so your changes are visible. Publish module if:

  • You need to send a reviewer link for someone to review the module.

  • You use Skillcast LMS to host the module.

  • You need a remote content package to host on a third-party LMS.

After you have published your final module version, please let your Customer success manager (CSM) know that the module is ready. CSM will then test it at their end, checking that the module reports and tracks as expected. They will guide you through the next steps in the process.

NOTE: If you need a deployed content package to host on a third-party LMS, you don't need to publish the module. When the module is ready, please inform your CSM so they can export the content package for you and guide you through the next steps.

1. Find the module you want to publish. You can follow the steps listed in the article about Finding a module.

2. Select the Publish module link on the right side of the page.

3. The Publish module screen has three sections: Publish module settings, Module usage, and History.
