Assessment analytics feature and report

This article explains what the assessment analytics features are and what you can see in the report.

Updated over 3 months ago

Introduction

The Assessment Analytics feature gives you richer insights into employee assessments. It combines assessment results, objectives, and confidence betting to highlight knowledge strengths, gaps, and confidence levels across topics.

Note: This feature is available for Skillcast content hosted on the Skillcast LMS or through a remote content package on a third-party LMS. You'll need the appropriate permissions to view and manage reports (Management Console and Management Information).

What's Included in Assessment Analytics

Assessment

Provides deeper analysis of results across assessment questions.

Objectives

Breaks down results by topics or subject areas, helping you see how employees perform in different areas.

Confidence Betting

Adds an extra layer of insight and gamification by asking employees how confident they are in their answers. Correct and confident answers can be rewarded with additional points, while incorrect but confident answers may highlight misunderstandings.

Assessment Analytics Report

The report allows you to view results at a higher level than standard assessments, including:

  • Overall - learning paths that include assessment analytics.

  • Grouped - results grouped by attributes such as department, role, or country.

  • Objectives - performance on specific topics or subject areas.

  • Breakdown - detailed results by group and objective.

  • Leaderboard - ranking of top scores (Skillcast LMS only).

Note: Grouped reports can only be added for LMS clients and for SRS Max clients who integrate a data feed.

These insights help you identify where further training may be most valuable.

How to Add an Assessment Analytics Report

  1. Go to Management Console > Management Information.

  2. Select Create a new report.

  3. Choose Assessment Analytics Report as the report type.

  4. Navigate to the Learning Paths tab and select the Learning Path you want to report on.

  5. Select Run Report to generate the report.

Limitations

Note: For remote content packages, the availability of Grouped, Breakdown, and Leaderboard reports depends on the data shared with Skillcast.

Conclusion

Assessment Analytics provides a more comprehensive view of employee knowledge and confidence. Use the reporting insights to target training and support where it will have the most impact.
