You can bulk-upload activity training records, for example if you want to import or migrate training records from another LMS. That way, you have everything in one place for easy referencing.

Stage 1: Add new activity

Before uploading training records, there needs to be a learning path with an activity linked to a category. So first, let’s add a new activity.

1. Login and select the Management Console tab > Content management > Add a new learning path

2. Select Edit content in the Learning Path sidebar:

3. Select E-learning to add a new activity:

4. Enter a name, (optional) description, content category

5. Tick the box next to Training records only and select Add
6. Now the activity exists under Current activities, and it’s time to link to a category and learning path

Stage 2: Upload records

1. Select the Management Console tab > User Management > Upload training records:

2. Now it’s time to find the activity you want to upload your records to. Select the Course category dropdown, or enter some words in the Course title field, and select Search:

3. Select the activity, then select the User domain dropdown to choose the domain for uploading. Repeat this step for each domain you want to upload to

4. Select the Unique identifier dropdown to choose how to match records to your users. You can choose from email, employee ID, or Skillcast user ID. You can also download an Excel template to add your records before uploading

5. The template contains 6 columns. The minimum required for completion is your chosen unique identifier, last name, start date, status. For status, the values should be either: Completed, Incomplete, Failed.

The score should be a numeric value only - no percentages needed.

6. Save the file in Excel 97-2003 format, then select Choose file, locate the records spreadsheet, and select Upload training records:

7. The screen tells you how many records were uploaded, and if any invalid records couldn’t be uploaded. Add any comments or files, and select Create training records to complete the upload
