How to reopen and update alerts within a compliance declaration

Updated over a week ago

When completing a compliance declaration, some answers may trigger alerts that require further action. These alerts help ensure that all compliance steps are followed and that any potential risks are reviewed appropriately.

Some alerts will close automatically depending on the action required. For example, if the user is instructed to contact the office manager or the IT support desk, the platform may close the alert without additional input.

Closed alerts, whether automatically closed or closed manually by an admin user, can still be reviewed, updated, and reopened when needed.

Accessing and reviewing alerts

You can review how to access open alerts for a compliance declaration submission through your portal. This allows you to understand which alerts have been resolved and which may still require your attention.

How to reopen an alert

If an alert needs to be reopened for further review or additional actions:

  • Add a comment to the alert. This can include action points or clarifications.

  • Use the dropdown menu to change the alert status to Open.

  • Select Update to save the changes.

  • The alert will then reappear as open and require follow‑up.

Adding comments without reopening

If you only need to leave a note or context but do not want to reopen the alert:

  • Add your comment directly to the alert.

  • Leave the status unchanged.

  • Save your update.

This ensures the alert remains closed while still capturing any relevant information.

Permissions

If you believe your permissions are incorrect or you cannot access the alerts you need to manage, please contact your company admin or your Customer Success Manager for assistance.

Conclusion

Reopening and updating alerts helps ensure compliance declarations remain accurate and properly reviewed. Adding comments, whether the alert is open or closed, supports transparent audit trails and effective follow‑up.
