Linking policies from Policy Hub to modules

Updated over a month ago

This article explains how you can insert a link to a policy from your Policy Hub directly into your course content. You will need the Edit content permission and access to the Policy Hub.

Make sure you have identified the module you want to update. If needed, refer to the article about finding a module.

Adding a policy link to a module

To begin editing, open your module and select Edit content on the right-hand side. Navigate to the page where you want the policy link to appear.

Within the element dropdown, choose the Content: Policy element and select Add. This will allow you to configure how the policy is displayed in the module.

Configuring the policy content settings

Once the element has been added, open the Content tab. You can now set up how the policy link behaves for learners.

  • Policy
Search for and select the relevant policy from your Policy Hub.

  • Launch mode
Choose PDF document if you want the policy to open as a standard PDF without attestation.
Choose Policy wrapper if you want the full policy view with linked documents and attestation, as configured in the Policy Hub.

  • Button class
Keep the existing policyLink class. This controls how the link appears visually.

  • Must attest before proceeding in module
This setting applies only when using the Policy wrapper mode and only if the policy has attestation enabled in the Policy Hub. When this option is turned on, learners must attest to the policy before they can progress. Without attesting, they cannot complete the module.

  • Show next
Enable this setting if the Next or Continue button should appear once the learner has opened and closed the policy link.

  • Delay Next (milliseconds)
Add a value here if you want a delay before the Next or Continue button becomes available.

Saving and testing

After completing your updates, save your changes. Use View as learner to confirm the policy link works exactly as expected.

If you have completed all edits for the module, please refer to the article What do I do when I finish creating or editing my module? for next steps.
