If you are trying to manually assign a Learning Path but cannot locate it in the search results, there are a few common reasons this might happen.
1. Check your search keywords
When searching, you will need to use keywords from the Learning Path code, not just the title. Searching by title alone may not return the correct result, especially if your organisation uses coded naming conventions.
2. Confirm you have access to the correct content domain
You can only assign Learning Paths that sit within content domains you have permission to access.
If the Learning Path belongs to a different domain, it will not appear in your search.
Speak to your company admin or your Skillcast Customer Success Manager if you think you need additional permissions.
3. You may be using automatic assignments
If automatic assignments are configured for that Learning Path, you may not be able to assign it manually.
In this case, you will need to:
Update your audience group rules to include the user, or
Speak to your Customer Success Manager if you want to explore using static audience groups instead
4. The user may already be assigned the Learning Path
If the user already has the Learning Path on their profile, it will not appear as an option to assign again.
If you need to reset it, refer to this article: Resetting a completed Learning Path.
