When raising a support ticket - either by email or via the support form - you may find it helpful to include a screenshot. This can make it easier for the Support team to understand any errors or issues you are experiencing.
The steps for taking a screenshot vary depending on the device you are using. Below are the most common methods.
Windows/PC
1. Capture the entire screen
Hold ALT and press Print Screen.
If you have multiple monitors and want to capture only one screen, place your cursor on that screen and ensure a program window is open there. If no window is active, the screenshot may include both screens.
2. Capture a specific part of the screen
Press Windows key + Shift + S.
This opens the Snip and Sketch tool. Use your mouse or trackpad to select the area you want to capture. The screenshot is saved to your clipboard automatically, ready to paste.
Pasting your screenshot
You can paste the image into your email or a document by right clicking and selecting Paste, or by pressing CTRL + V.
If you have multiple items saved to your clipboard, press Windows key + V to open the clipboard history and choose the item you want to paste.
Mac
Hold COMMAND + SHIFT + 3.
This captures the entire screen and saves the image as a file on your desktop.
iOS (iPhone/iPad)
Press the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button at the same time.
Your device captures the entire screen and saves the image in the Photos app.
