As a general rule, we always recommend taking something that has already been built and editing it. This could be one of our Off-The-Shelf modules, copying elements and pages from other modules or using our Page Templates.
Building pages from scratch can take a long time. Therefore, we've created a library of Page templates for the West-East modules and Scrolling section templates for scrolling modules. They can be inserted into any module and customised as needed.
Before deciding which template to use, please look at your content and decide which template will work best with it. Each template can be used on its own or can be combined with another.
Kindly note that you need Edit content permission to access the Content editor.
Follow the below steps to add a Page Template to your module:
1. Find the module you want to edit. You can follow the steps listed in the article about Finding a module.
2. Select Edit content on the right side of the screen.
3. Decide where you want to add a new Page or Scrolling section template. For example:
Page: If you need to add a new Page template after page 2, scroll to the bottom of page 2, choose Module: Page template in the element dropdown and select Add.
The Page template adds a new page element along with the relevant content elements.
Scrolling section: If you need to add a new Scrolling section template to a page, choose the Page: Scrolling section template from the element dropdown and select Add. When adding a Scrolling section template between scrolling sections, please make sure to add it above the next Scrolling section element, as shown in the screenshot below.
The Scrolling section template adds a new scrolling section element along with the relevant content elements.
NOTE: This option appears in the modules published with the scrolling skin only.
4. Insert the Page or Scrolling section title, choose and select the template you need, and select the Add button at the bottom of the page.
If you would like to combine templates on the same Page or Scrolling section, please read the article called Combining content templates.
