This article explains the differences between Skillcast original and Editable modules. It can help you decide which type of module best suits your needs.
Skillcast original
This is a module on your portal that remains synced with the original module from the Skillcast library. Any published changes made to the original module in the Skillcast library will be reflected in the Skillcast original module on your portal. Therefore, it is not possible to edit it on your portal.
Get Skillcast original when you don't need to make any changes to the module and prefer Skillcast to keep the content up to date for you.
Editable
This is either a copy of a module from the Skillcast library or a module created from scratch on your portal. As the name suggests, these modules can be edited as required.
If you have a Skillcast original module on your portal and decide to make changes to it, you can get the Editable version of the same module. However, the two versions are separate modules with separate training records, so please consider that before releasing it to your audience.
Get an Editable version when you need to customise Skillcast-provided content to your needs.
